Our History

The George Weis Company, as it is known today, was founded by Peter Weis in the 1860s as a small residential plastering, whitewashing, and concrete finishing business. Their primary focus was plaster, which was a popular building material for walls and ceilings in the United States during that time period. Peter Weis, who had learned the trade in Germany, immigrated to the United States in the mid-1800s and enlisted in the U.S. Army. After returning from the Civil War in 1865, he resumed his plastering work.
